Our Team
Our team comprises highly skilled transaction specialists that collectively bring over 75 years cumulative experience in Corporate Finance, M&A, Financial Management, Taxation, Development Finance, Project Finance, ESG and Audit, having advised on transactions and projects across Africa and Europe over the last 15 years.

Steven Kanyatte. Managing Partner
Steven is a corporate finance specialist and board advisor, with 20 years of corporate finance, accounting and tax experience across jurisdictions. He is the Lead Transaction Advisor at Monday Ventures which he founded in 2015 following 15 years of extensive management advisory experience at Deloitte UK, and prior to that, at PwC Kenya, Nigeria and the UK.
Steven has advised numerous leading multinationals, listed group, and funds through a varied range of M&A, corporate transactions, capital raising, refinancings and reorganisations. His experience spans multiple sectors and jurisdictions, as well as across the debt-equity spectrum. The scope of Steven’s recent mandates include advising executive teams on growth strategy, corporate structuring, jurisdictional analysis, financial modelling, raising capital across the capital stack, MLA selection. His corporate finance, transaction advisory and M&A experience has spanned clients in the hospitality, telecom, financial services, healthcare, renewable energy and infrastructure.
Steven is a CPA and has a Finance degree from the University of Nairobi.
Joseph Karanja. Associate Director
Joseph is a highly accomplished finance and accounting professional with 20 years of progressive leadership within world class global business environments. Joseph has
held senior finance roles spanning multiple jurisdictions across Africa. His previous roles include Group CFO at the Kenyan TMT company, Wananchi Group and Group CFO and Head of Commercial for leading Kenyan IT company, Seven Seas Technology.
Prior to Wananchi, Joseph worked for Bharti Airtel and was involved in driving funding strategy for 17 countries and managing over US$ 2billion debt book, implementation and monitoring of Group governance and policy frameworks and actively supporting ERP systems implementation. He was also involved in merger and acquisition initiatives that led to the acquisition of Warid Congo and Warid Uganda resulting into significant increase in market share.
Joseph holds an MBA specializing in Strategy and a BA in Accounting from University of Nairobi. He is a CPA, Certified Information System Auditor, and is completing Masters in Applied Philosophy and Ethics at Strathmore University.
